Location. Set on 280 forested acres on a scenic mountain ridge, the stunning Chaminade Santa Cruz retreat commands a panoramic view of the Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz Mountains. The hotel is located four miles from downtown Santa Cruz, Calif. The Santa Cruz beaches are five miles away.
Hotel Features. For an elegant meal, the Sunset Dining Room offers fine dining served buffet or a la carte before floor to ceiling windows that provide a spectacular view. Linwood's Bar & Grill offers more casual lunch and dinner dining and a lounge with a large fireplace, four televisions and a pool table. With a ballroom, small meeting facilities and a business center outfitted with computers and high speed Internet access, planning the perfect event at the Chaminade Santa Cruz is easy.
Recreational opportunities abound at the Chaminade Santa Cruz. With extensive hiking trails surrounding the hotel, tennis and volleyball courts, an outdoor lap pool and a full service health club which offers aerobics, yoga and Pilates classes, workouts are anything but routine. Expert Tip. Guests can journey six miles to the Roaring Camp Railroads, which is the departure point for two historic railway lines. The steam train travels through the redwood forest to Bear Mountain while a beach train travels along the San Lorenzo River to the sandy beaches of Santa Cruz.
